The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Soon in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Oakham's Khai Amin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wong Butcher in the 10th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Soon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match Jerry Soon climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Rajah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerry Soon did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 23 minutes into the match. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bryan Hui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Asiz Rajah in the 30th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jonathan Ferrant's left hand side. Jerry Soon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 31st playminute. A hard shot 35 in the game by Jerry Soon from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asiz Rajah got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 48 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerry Soon.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Asiz Rajah sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Hui having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Koh, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 59th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerry Soon in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When Oakham's Jerry Soon in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Jerry Soon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Oakham getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Daniz Hsi hit a great ball. Oakham made a substitution. Gara Hock replaced Mark Koh. In the 71st minute, Daniz Hsi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Asiz Rajah kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute Asiz Rajah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gara Hock in the 86th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jerry Soon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jerry Soon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 minutes of play, Oakham's Gara Hock made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the game, Jerry Soon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
