Amerigo Pugliese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Alvaro Cara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Amerigo Pugliese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amerigo Pugliese got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Aureliusz Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Amerigo Pugliese came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Ennio Bosso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Ennio Bosso slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. Amerigo Pugliese could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Alvaro Punta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tolek Rywin kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Venezuela's Jose Correa got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Jose Correa off the ground. After 57 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Pugliese in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Pugliese came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Amerigo Pugliese had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amerigo Pugliese was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Alvaro Punta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Alvaro Punta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Carlo Filice notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. ternana calcio fc's Anfilogino Pasquino was substituted for Ennio Bosso. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Punta in the 84th minute of the match.
