Nicolae Dobrin's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolae Dobrin helped the player get up and apologised. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. In the 14th minute, Nicolae Dobrin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimo Ülend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Agostinho Negri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 24th minute, Cassius Byrne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimo Ülend was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Khalid Parry hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chesney Summers in the 36th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Gabi Martinelli notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimo Ülend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Agostinho Negri scored to the left of an out of position Marco Day, making the score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Raimo Ülend in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimo Ülend made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 57th minute. Raimo Ülend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Korona Kielce's Agostinho Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chesney Summers in the 62nd minute of play. If Chesney Summers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Korona Kielce's Alex Macedo was substituted for Agostinho Negri. Korona Kielce made a substitution. Ivar Lilleeng replaced Gabi Martinelli. Chesney Summers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Macedo in the 78th minute of play. Raimo Ülend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Macedo in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
