Virgilio Tajo made in the 4th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Cheng Xiong Ang immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Remir in the 9th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Roman Vachon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Filomeno Remir came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Manfredi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Remir couldn't finish the play. A wasted opportunity for Manfredi AFC. 46 minutes into the match, Cristobal Guillelmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Guillelmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Manfredi AFC's Roman Vachon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Manfredi AFC's Aristides Cesaro got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Cristobal Guillelmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Cristobal Guillelmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roman Vachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Roman Vachon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92nd play minutes Rafael Gallo shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Roman Vachon and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manfredi AFC throughout the match.
