Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. After 8 minutes, Alexandre Figueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Figueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Tøndergaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Oswaldo Salmanton sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 16 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Salmanton came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Salmanton in the 18th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Oswaldo Salmanton came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 26 minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 34 minutes of play, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's Oswaldo Salmanton made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 36 played minutes SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA got a freekick which was hit by Joel Coimbra. 37 minutes into the match, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Konrad Tøndergaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match, Oswaldo Salmanton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Tøndergaard having to interfere. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Oswaldo Salmanton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Salmanton in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidónio Silva in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA got a freekick which was hit by Joel Coimbra. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Konrad Tøndergaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's Oswaldo Salmanton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 63 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's Konrad Tøndergaard. Konrad Tøndergaard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Mark, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's Oswaldo Salmanton. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Salmanton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA's goalkeeper Konrad Tøndergaard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Salmanton in the 79th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Konrad Tøndergaard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Salmanton in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Salmanton in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 96 minutes, Oswaldo Salmanton made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. SPORT LISBOA E BENFICA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
