The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Eduardo Saporiti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Saporiti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacobo Nores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball. The long shot by Arturo Marquez in the 12th minute really tested Jacobo Nores's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When 柳邦义 came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 柳邦义 couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s 柳邦义 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Cleto Indar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Pardo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Eduardo Saporiti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A hard shot 27 in the game by Eduardo Saporiti from a close distance when the talented Jacobo Nores managed to make a qualified save. Paraguay's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hector Covarrubias during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Covarrubias to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Carson. Daniel Carson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Xavier Zoido fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Xavier Zoido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Zoido to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 柳邦义, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, 柳邦义 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. The ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s 柳邦义 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 柳邦义 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. In the 65th minute 柳邦义 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Campos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 柳邦义, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Eduardo Saporiti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hector Covarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Arturo Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Arturo Marquez hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Saporiti in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Many of Paraguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Paraguay may have spent more time on the ball, but ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
