Araucampeón Retirado were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moisés Villarroel took the corner. The corner led Araucampeón Retirado's Moisés Villarroel to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Emiliano Manfredi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Alonso Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd match minute, Araucampeón Retirado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotomayor Portas to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halil Okaner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araucampeón Retirado's goalkeeper Emiliano Manfredi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Halil Okaner to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Halil Okaner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 65 minutes into the game, Tiago Azevedo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Araucampeón Retirado getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Tiago Azevedo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Halil Okaner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Manfredi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Araucampeón Retirado's Emiliano Manfredi managed to reach the ball for a save. Emiliano Manfredi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 78th minute of the match. 86 minutes in the game Moisés Villarroel did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Moisés Villarroel. Halil Okaner took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 90 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Manfredi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Rafael Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Manfredi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Araucampeón Retirado's Emiliano Manfredi. Emiliano Manfredi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Araucampeón Retirado support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
