Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Colombia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Vikingos FC's Roque Vito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 57th minute, Vladimiro Lauro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 60th minute, Marek Torm made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimiro Lauro went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Vikingos FC made a substitution. Ladislao Erramu replaced Vladimiro Lauro. Ladislao Erramu took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Vikingos FC made a substitution. Luciano Lleir replaced Per-Olof Vallmark. Vikingos FC's Victor Abaurre was substituted for Roque Vito. Tarmo Kaare hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vikingos FC's Wilhelm Widberg got a free kick in the 84th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Erramu in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vikingos FC's Ladislao Erramu got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
