When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Sundets Pärla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Finman in the 17th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Michael Finman scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. In the 29th minute, Michael Finman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 34th minute Ivar Kielberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Tomas Blom took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Kielberg came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Sundets Pärla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Fliz didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sundets Pärla FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute Michael Finman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Finman in the 70th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Hammarbäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Samuel Sjöberg with Michael Finman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 86th match minute, Sundets Pärla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Berggren to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Michael Finman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundets Pärla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 90 minutes into the match, Michael Finman notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Sundets Pärla FC's Marko Andreasson got a free kick in the 95th minute.
