In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 7th minute of the match Åsbro Flåsegutter got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alf-Inge Sørum ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Alf-Inge Sørum almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save. In the 10th minute, Örjan Björk made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Castro got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Örjan Björk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Björk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Zdzislaw Barniszke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Axel Montenegro scored 2-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wiktor Ekström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Björk in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Júlio Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Örjan Björk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Björk in the 34th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wiktor Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 36th minute of the match. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Stig Bäckman in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. Örjan Björk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

56 minutes into the match, Örjan Björk notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Örjan Björk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. A sloppy throw-in by Rickard Vallander in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. After 73 minutes, Bertil Strandberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsbro Flåsegutter and the Colombia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Åsbro Flåsegutter:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colombia:s goal. The goalkeeper, Wiktor Ekström, was totally fooled by Colombia's Kevin Mastache, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Wiktor Ekström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Örjan Björk in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Björk came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Colombia's Abram Secada made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wiktor Ekström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 96 played minutes Åsbro Flåsegutter got a freekick which was hit by Alf-Inge Sørum. 97 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache notched a goal, 4-5, to the right of Åsbro Flåsegutter's Wiktor Ekström. Wiktor Ekström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Colombia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
