With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Anaya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Sebastián Puig made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kerimhan Özonder was slow to take the kick. During this time Lobo Guará's players had a chance to rest. Lobo Guará's Kerimhan Özonder was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 32 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Anaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, Lobo Guará's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Daniel Anaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berker Başhekim. Nando Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nando Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Nando Barbosa. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute, Ezequiel Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Lobo Guará's Ciro de Moraes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Daniel Anaya, passed just outside the right post. In the 86th minute, Vlad Imperiale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Daniel Anaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Ciro de Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro de Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ciro de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
