Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Olejmeulen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicolas Olejmeulen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Karl-Magnus Tidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Olejmeulen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play forced Sputchi FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Olejmeulen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Magnus Tidén. In the 30th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Olejmeulen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Sputchi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nicolas Olejmeulen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Olejmeulen having to interfere. Nicolas Olejmeulen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulf Hamnberg during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Sputchi FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Hamnberg. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Olejmeulen having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Engström in the 52nd minute of play. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolas Olejmeulen having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicolas Olejmeulen. Nicolas Olejmeulen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 62nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Olejmeulen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Sputchi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harald Josefsson to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Olejmeulen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Nicolas Olejmeulen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute Ulf Hamnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Nicolas Olejmeulen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 84th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Sputchi FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicolas Olejmeulen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 85th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolas Olejmeulen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 88 minutes into the game, Svante Lundblad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sputchi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 88th minute, Svante Lundblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 95 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sputchi FC throughout the match.
