Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Zeledon Sol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucio Galo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Abaunza in the 7th minute of the match. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Urtats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gabriel Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Agustin Abaunza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-0. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Lucio Galo sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Urtats was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gabriel Urtats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 29th minute. Lucio Galo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lucio Galo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Areco FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Sol. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Areco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucio Galo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 67th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Abaunza hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Zeledon Sol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Areco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Sol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Areco FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! Gabriel Urtats had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 79 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Sol in the 80th minute of play. In the 86th minute Zeledon Sol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Barros in the 92nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Areco FC had won after a very even match.
