When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through White Eagles FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Máximo Azeredo. When the final whistle went the supporters of Venezuela were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant White Eagles FC side.
