Espigão Steamrollers's Kara Bhattacharya quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Oswaldo Nascimento in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a well-played corner which Roneixon Siqueira managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Gonçalo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 39th minute. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Emmanuel Reyes with Luz Tejedor as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 42nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. Espigão Steamrollers made a substitution. Ulisses Carioca replaced Walmyr Meira. In the 47th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luz Tejedor to strike the kick off in the second half. Peru's attentive Julian Murillo managed to snatch the ball when Oswaldo Nascimento made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. In the 64th match minute, Espigão Steamrollers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kara Bhattacharya to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Kara Bhattacharya got a free kick in the 65th minute. The Espigão Steamrollers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
