In the 16th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 19th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uriel Gorri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 55th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Guillermo Fontirroig heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Menchu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Lacasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Salvidor. That made the score 1-5 in the 68 minute of play. Menchu FC made a substitution. Chile's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
