An unexpectedly hard shot by Gu Zhou Xiao in the 17th minute of play forced 1989 Blxsk's goalkeeper Eriberto Honesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodri Palacios was the one to do the kick off. When Gu Zhou Xiao fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rossangeles's protests and gave Gu Zhou Xiao a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Rossangeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gu Zhou Xiao to maneuver through the defense. Jiang Bing Ning made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Corderun in the 59th minute. If Luke De Kelper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Miguel Godoy did an outstanding performance 72 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Jiang Bing Ning in the goal. Rossangeles's Yu Bing Hong was substituted for Sílvio Luís Secco. 77 minutes into the match, 1989 Blxsk's goal looked a bit too open when Rodri Palacios came free, but Eriberto Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jiang Bing Ning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Hibai in the 82nd minute of play. 1989 Blxsk's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team.
