The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes of play, Lipovljani's Nikifor Kulaksúzov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aron Dahlbom was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikifor Kulaksúzov in the 11th minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Mykhaylo Mudryk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the MAFFIAN defense, Cvjetko Štokić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Dahlbom. The MAFFIAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Dahlbom should have stopped the shot. Alf Säfström was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. The referee gave Lipovljani a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sima Marinković, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom. 0-3. After the first half Lipovljani were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cvjetko Štokić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Nikifor Kulaksúzov made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After recieving a nice pass, Lipovljani's Nikifor Kulaksúzov tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. MAFFIAN's Hugo Nyman was substituted for Rudolf Josefsson. Lipovljani's Gabrijel Jovanovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Wassberg in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cvjetko Štokić. Gabrijel Jovanovski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Aron Dahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sima Marinković in the 84th minute of the match. Lipovljani played a much better game than MAFFIAN and deserved their victory. The MAFFIAN players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
