Severino Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Chucho, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anastasio Iraitz was the one to do the kick off. Gilberto Astigar was slow to take the kick. During this time Depor Alex Return's players had a chance to rest. Cirilo Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Iraitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Chucho struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Severino Herena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Depor Alex Return. Depor Alex Return's Justino Chucho got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Cordeara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Herena having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Teofilo Cordeara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Independiente were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Depor Alex Return for a fine match.
