In the 79th minute Máximo Paetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Ortzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither Cavallino Rampante II or Club Deportivo Xpertin succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 2-2. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Máximo Paetz did a quick kick off. Though ot was a great shot Cavallino Rampante II's keeper Silvio Ortzi was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After 30 minutes of extra-time there was still no winner. The players now faced the much dreaded penalty shoot-out.

In the 139th minute, Cavallino Rampante II got a penalty, and Jairo Izotz placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The referee gave Club Deportivo Xpertin a penalty, 144 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexis Sánchez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cavallino Rampante II's Silvio Ortzi. 5-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cavallino Rampante II fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Deportivo Xpertin had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
