The supporters of TeamSystem booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Coria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Paraibano hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Dirk Behrens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robbin van Persie's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Coria. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Robbin van Persie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Nunes. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Nunes should have stopped the shot. Roberto Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbin van Persie, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robbin van Persie in the 28th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Roberto Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, TeamSystem's Robbin van Persie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto Nunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match TeamSystem got a corner. GuateFortín's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Seyfi Akbayrak ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Seyfi Akbayrak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roberto Nunes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roberto Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbin van Persie in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Robbin van Persie came free, but Roberto Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbin van Persie in the 39th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Robbin van Persie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Nunes. GuateFortín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbin van Persie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The corner ended in Seyfi Akbayrak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GuateFortín's Roberto Nunes did a great save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbin van Persie to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GuateFortín's goalkeeper Roberto Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hasan Ceceli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thierry Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Nunes came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by TeamSystem's Robbin van Persie. But to his dismay, Robbin van Persie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 63rd minute Robbin van Persie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hasan Ceceli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thierry Henry's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, TeamSystem's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Almada came free, but Hasan Ceceli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Pagomari took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hasan Ceceli. Hasan Ceceli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. GuateFortín made a substitution. Miguel Ángel Benito replaced Carlitos Bianchi. GuateFortín's David Ruiz was substituted for Orlando Coria. 74 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Roberto Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robbin van Persie. Hasan Ceceli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. TeamSystem's Pablo Galsino got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as TeamSystem's Robbin van Persie slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto Nunes. That made the score 1-5 after 93 minutes of play.
TeamSystem played a much better game than GuateFortín and deserved their victory. The GuateFortín players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
