CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Mercurio in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Mercurio came free, but Melquiades Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Cícero da Costa. In the 9th minute of the match Betão Prestes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melquiades Amor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Melquiades Amor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Bertassi in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Sílvio Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitoldas Bilota kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cable a Tierra's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ardwyad Vulcan was slow to take the kick. During this time CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's players had a chance to rest. In the 30th minute, Rene Sergi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The nice shot from Narciso Bertassi in the 34thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Melquiades Amor had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Narciso Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudio Echeverri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Melquiades Amor made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cícero da Costa was the one to do the kick off. Ardwyad Vulcan hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Egídio Magalhães hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Melquiades Amor was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Rene Sergi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Egoi in the 97th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Cable a Tierra's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
