The audience thought a goal was coming when Albin Anundsson got free with Siim Kikas in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Siim Kikas made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Albin Anundsson sent off a good shot on target. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Albin Anundsson came free and shot a quick shot against goal 9 minutes in the game, fortunately Siim Kikas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Albin Anundsson in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye De Gulden Draak's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albin Anundsson in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siim Kikas saved De Gulden Draak from getting behind. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Dantas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edinho Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Ronald Breitbücher notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Mané Barreto. Mané Barreto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when E. C. Flamengo Paraibano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardinho Vaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Ronald Breitbücher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mané Barreto. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronald Breitbücher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 28th minute, Evert Heremans made a precise shot to the right of Mané Barreto. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Mané Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Heremans in the 30th minute of play. Ezequiel da Mata hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute Evert Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Mané Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Breitbücher in the 39th minute of play. Ronald Breitbücher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Barreto having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Vivaldo Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E. C. Flamengo Paraibano and the De Gulden Draak players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronald Breitbücher to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the De Gulden Draak defense, Albin Anundsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Siim Kikas. The De Gulden Draak fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Siim Kikas should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albin Anundsson in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siim Kikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Albin Anundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute Evert Heremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siim Kikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Anundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes, Albin Anundsson made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's Thomás Loureiro was substituted for Erberk Tunçkol. In the 83rd minute Albin Anundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siim Kikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hartmut Achterberg struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Mané Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Gulden Draak. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Heremans in the 92nd minute of play forced E. C. Flamengo Paraibano's goalkeeper Mané Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
