Alexandru Rizescu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-! In the 10th minute there was a penalty for AFK Petržalka. Nikola Krstović stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dacian Dudea. 0-1. Dacian Dudea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikola Krstović, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović suffered a sore thigh after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascal Grooss during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute, Co Gøte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Dacian Dudea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Co Gøte, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ilie Balaci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Cornel Tomulescu got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Gøte in the 46th minute of play forced F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Dacian Dudea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dávid Strelec to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilie Balaci in the 54th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Checa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on AFK Petržalka's corner Co Gøte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dacian Dudea quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Gøte in the 74th minute of play forced F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Dacian Dudea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Felix Ciorănescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. AFK Petržalka's Jaro Filip quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 82 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Necula. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Checa got free with Dacian Dudea in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper Dacian Dudea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Co Gøte. 87 minutes into the match, Co Gøte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dacian Dudea, 0-4. In the 94th minute, Dávid Strelec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

AFK Petržalka's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
