Asiz Leng might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingo Johans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asiz Leng ran back to his position shaking his head. After 34 minutes, Ang Tioe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LiverBird Flyers FC and the Papato Tatengue players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to LiverBird Flyers FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Asiz Leng to make the kick off.
