Ambrosio Mendiko was slow to take the kick. During this time San Lorenzo 11's players had a chance to rest. In the 22nd minute Fu Ling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Aurelio Astudillo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fu Ling in the 23rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fu Ling in the 30th minute of play forced San Lorenzo 11's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Bucciarelli to make the kick off. A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fu Ling hit a great ball. Claudio Bucciarelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seaman having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo 11's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Magnusson came free, but Aurelio Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Chepe in the 81st minute of play.
