After some careless play in the Sheriff defense, Arif Buğra Tülek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manos Melogiannis. The Sheriff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manos Melogiannis should have stopped the shot. Manos Melogiannis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Icardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Manos Melogiannis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Icardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arif Buğra Tülek took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Melogiannis. Manos Melogiannis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Vassilis Marianos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Fisnik Fart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Kapopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Gökalp Ateşoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Sheriff got a freekick which was hit by Dimitris Kabitsis. Manos Melogiannis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Buğra Tülek in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, TC☆ Keskin Nişancı™'s Mauro Icardi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manos Melogiannis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Icardi to make the kick off. TC☆ Keskin Nişancı™'s Fisnik Fart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omiros Kaloumenos in the 53rd minute of play.
