After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Fred Karlsson got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvar Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 6th minute of play. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Alvar Öberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. If Jacobo Mark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Mark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Mark in the 24th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Jacobo Mark was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Alejandro Jerrald slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 30 minutes of play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Fred Karlsson sent off a good shot on target. Fred Karlsson struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Rio Tercero. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Rio Tercero's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvar Öberg came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Joachim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. After 74 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Alvar Öberg in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Venezuela's Alex Chicote quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Donato Reyes, made in the 88th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Arnas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Rio Tercero walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
