After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 4th minute. Yin Li Ying's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eintracht Cernavoda's Yin Li Ying slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. A collision led to Eintracht Cernavoda getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Filip Pantiș hit a great ball. Primitivo Andino made in the 16th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristian Sancho however managed to control. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felix Montenegro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Corcoveanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ionică Corcoveanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ionică Corcoveanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Eintracht Cernavoda's Ionică Corcoveanu. Ionică Corcoveanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ionel Gâlcă's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionel Gâlcă helped the player get up and apologised. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikael Isak to make the kick off. Eintracht Cernavoda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Eintracht Cernavoda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huey Bom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eintracht Cernavoda's goalkeeper Ionică Corcoveanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Yin Li Ying came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
