The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Otsando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Daniel Zorita advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-3 in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Otsando was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Otsando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Marcos Otsando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rejunte de perros's Marcos Otsando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Rejunte de perros from getting a goal against them.
