Erman Özmert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gökçen Safa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but İZMİR&GS's Gökçen Safa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Erman Özmert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erman Özmert got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Axel Montenegro sped through İZMİR&GS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gökçen Safa. In the 38th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Nurkan Bayar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Gökçen Safa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abram Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Kevin Mastache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gökçen Safa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julianda Rakasiwi in the 68th minute of the match. Ignacio Mastache scored 2-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gökçen Safa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gökçen Safa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Antônio Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antônio Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 79 minutes into the match, Colombia's Ignacio Mastache sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökçen Safa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Antônio Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santino Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Gökçen Safa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
