Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Jorg Pieters started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pepe Santoro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 7 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Luca Rouco drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Independiente's goalkeeper. 17 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Independiente's Pepe Santoro. Pepe Santoro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute Jorg Pieters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona scored 0-4 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pepe Santoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Jorg Pieters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Independiente's Pepe Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 28th minute of play. Pepe Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 32nd minute of play. Facundo Cadaval kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independiente's goalie prevented a goal. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Independiente's Pepe Santoro did a great save. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 42nd minute. The corner led to Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 47th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Independiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Pepe Santoro made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorg Pieters in the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Pepe Santoro to make any attempt to save it. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sören Bengtsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 74th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Bengtsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 83rd minute. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Independiente throughout the match.
