Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Semail Özbir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great ball. 12 minutes in the game, Dainius Bagdonas dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yusuf Stegen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after San Diego FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. In the 24th minute, Francisco Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When San Diego FC's Dainius Bagdonas in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusuf Stegen saved San Diego FC from getting behind. Teddy Bourasseau hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute Dainius Bagdonas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yusuf Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dainius Bagdonas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Dainius Bagdonas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Semail Özbir fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Diego FC's protests and gave Semail Özbir a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to San Diego FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Semail Özbir hit a great ball. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The supporters of Uruguay booed when San Diego FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dainius Bagdonas in the 53rd minute of play. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Yusuf Stegen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the San Diego FC defense, Jaime Cazalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yusuf Stegen. The San Diego FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yusuf Stegen should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute Dainius Bagdonas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yusuf Stegen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Stegen having to interfere. After 75 minutes of play, San Diego FC's Dainius Bagdonas made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes in the game, Alberto Gisbert fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Yusuf Stegen having to interfere. San Diego FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
