When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Esteve Quinto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. 8 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matei Răducu. MarquinhosEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Răducu having to interfere. In the 16th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro do Valle in the 17th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Curt Montes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Răducu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Esteve Quinto made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro do Valle in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Gabriel Martini:s penalty. Matei Răducu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Matei Răducu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Martini in the 58th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro do Valle in the 60th minute of play. MarquinhosEC's Perivaldo Guimarães was substituted for Curt Montes. MarquinhosEC made a substitution. Inácio Freitas replaced Alessandro do Valle. In the 72nd minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 77th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Răducu having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matei Răducu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 83rd minute Inácio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo lined in a short shot 3-4 behind a frustrated Matei Răducu. In the 87th minute, Barrie Deacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MarquinhosEC.
