In the 20th match minute, Floripa Lions FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelian Ilie to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chile booed when Floripa Lions FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Ilie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Muzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29thth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amerigo Muzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Aloísio Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Amerigo Muzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Amerigo Muzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. 60 minutes into the match, Luiz Gustavo do Valle notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Chile's Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. Orlando Casaus struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Floripa Lions FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
