After a rather tough play, C.A Vientos Huracanados's Jose Asier got a free kick in the 6th minute. Paolo Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. C.A Vientos Huracanados's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Elazar in the 11th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Ubarna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Paolo Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Vientos Huracanados's Severo Elazar. But to his dismay, Severo Elazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Paolo Ubarna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, C.A Vientos Huracanados's Desiderio Basualdo got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, C.A Vientos Huracanados's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Paolo Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severo Elazar. After 34 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paolo Ubarna was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.A Vientos Huracanados's Higinio Cesaro got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paolo Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Paolo Ubarna however easily saved by the left post. When Faustino Dolfos fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Vientos Huracanados's protests and gave Faustino Dolfos a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Paolo Ubarna in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paolo Ubarna firmly grabbed it by the left post. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paolo Ubarna having to make a save. Paolo Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 71st minute of the match. Jose Asier hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Montes during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. C.A Vientos Huracanados's Paolo Ubarna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paolo Ubarna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Paolo Ubarna made a huge save. After having played for 88 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A Vientos Huracanados's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 96th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
