Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nerio Lopez de Toro in the 8th minute. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by ACC Mavericks's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Steve Van Clynenbreugel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Nerio Lopez de Toro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When ACC Mavericks's Nerio Lopez de Toro in 22 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jonathan Ferrant guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 28 minutes into the game, ACC Mavericks's Nerio Lopez de Toro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Nerio Lopez de Toro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nerio Lopez de Toro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerio Lopez de Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 51st minute Nerio Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match ACC Mavericks got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Bermudez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jose Bermudez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 57th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuan Eubanks in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nerio Lopez de Toro's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Ahmet Çağrı Kıralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Steve Van Clynenbreugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nerio Lopez de Toro in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Tuan Eubanks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Tuan Eubanks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Nerio Lopez de Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ACC Mavericks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nerio Lopez de Toro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuan Eubanks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Nerio Lopez de Toro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nerio Lopez de Toro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 87thth minute of the game Nerio Lopez de Toro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Nerio Lopez de Toro put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Tuan Eubanks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bob Hyatt. Bob Hyatt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. There was no doubt that ACC Mavericks were the better team. ACC Mavericks's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
