Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Huyghebaert in the 4th minute. With his leg Rolando Noboa managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when AFC United's Edward Huyghebaert fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 8th minute of play forced AFC United's goalkeeper Lei Bin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lei Bin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lei Bin came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Huyghebaert. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries De Putter, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lei Bin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lei Bin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edward Huyghebaert made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Huyghebaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Luz Tejedor could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Lei Bin however easily saved by the left post. In the 68th minute Andries De Putter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFC United made a substitution. Isa Savage replaced Edward Huyghebaert. In the 75th match minute, AFC United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken vrolix to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute of the match Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lei Bin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lei Bin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 78th minute of the match. If Faustino Asprilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Faustino Asprilla put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa.
