In the 76th minute Téo da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nonatos United's João Pedro de Amaral. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard-Dean Textex read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard-Dean Textex. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. Primitivo Andino made in the 93rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Agustín Saelices. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
