Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marciano Idacio having to make a save. Herminio Garaile made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Victorino Loren. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabino Valverde in the 37th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Valverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milagros Fraga to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sabino Valverde stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pretorianos FC's goalkeeper Marciano Idacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 52nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Idacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Pretorianos FC defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marciano Idacio. The Pretorianos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Idacio should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Pretorianos FC's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marciano Idacio came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Pretorianos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Marciano Idacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pretorianos FC's Marciano Idacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of play forced Pretorianos FC's goalkeeper Marciano Idacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tostão Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Ceresso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Valverde in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Tostão Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Tostão Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Pretorianos FC's Tostão Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marciano Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marciano Idacio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabino Valverde in the 90th minute of play. Marciano Idacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when Pretorianos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Garaile didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Idacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 95th minute of the match. Peru were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Pretorianos FC for a fine match.
