German Birila started the match with the kick off. Dino Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 2nd minute of the match. Dino Zoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Dino Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Hellgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Hellgren. In the 21st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montenegro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Hellgren. Dino Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, 11ABRASIL's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per Hellgren in the 40th minute. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when German Birila came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game German Birila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Zoff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, 11ABRASIL's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Dino Zoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Zoff was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. After 73 minutes of play, 11ABRASIL's German Birila made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when German Birila came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Birila in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when 11ABRASIL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Birila didn't get a good kick on the ball. German Birila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. German Birila kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The 11ABRASIL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
