When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Ronaldo Cristi put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dante Lacasa. In the 17th minute, Doffes Damer's Ronaldo Cristi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ronaldo Cristi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Gabriel Fanström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Barrera came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A hard shot 43 in the game by Ronaldo Cristi from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Doffes Damer's Ronaldo Cristi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute, Knut Utfal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 59th minute Ronaldo Cristi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Ronaldo Cristi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Inge Braa replaced Ronaldo Cristi. Doffes Damer's Andréas Stigsson was substituted for Knut Utfal. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Fanström was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inge Braa in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Inge Braa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Braa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Göran Vedholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Facundo Cadaval kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gabriel Fanström. That made the score 7-1 in the 81 minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Greg Barrera kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mexico players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Doffes Damer.
