Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Amboy FC's Valerio Spadoni started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruperto Modestio. In the 11th minute Shi Sha Quan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Mina took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ariel Mourelatos. Ariel Mourelatos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 20 minutes in the game Bruce Cornforth did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Cornelio Rius. In the 21st minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mourelatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Alberto Abascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shi Sha Quan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Moises Gayoso hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Cornelio Rius made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bruce Cornforth. Ruperto Modestio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match, Valerio Spadoni tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The supporters of Peru booed when Amboy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Mendiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Amboy FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nicanor Mendiko hit a great ball. Bruce Cornforth made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cornelio Rius however managed to control. Ariel Mourelatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Ariel Mourelatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 65th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Modestio in the 71st minute of play. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. 88 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ariel Mourelatos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Gallo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ariel Mourelatos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru.
