Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Thomas Wassberg made the kick off and thus started the match. MAFFIAN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gunde Svan in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when George Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. George Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Wassberg came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Thomas Wassberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Thomas Wassberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, George Svensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MAFFIAN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 38 minutes into the game, Kristoffer Nyberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MAFFIAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 38th minute, Kristoffer Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, George Svensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and George Svensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when MAFFIAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristoffer Nyberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Thomas Wassberg struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAFFIAN. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MAFFIAN made a substitution. Dennis Edström replaced George Svensson. 67 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aron Dahlbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Torgny Mogren struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAFFIAN. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Dahlbom saved MAFFIAN from getting behind. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Dahlbom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Edström in the 78th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Patricio Costa took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Aron Dahlbom to make any attempt to save it. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torgny Mogren's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Hugo Nyman got a free kick in the 96th minute. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
