Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Valverde to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Linhares came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Giovanni Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Walmyr Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Seco came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER FC the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Neves during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moisés Neves hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Seco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Seco slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hortêncio Linhares. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmyr Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Giovanni Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Seco was the one to do the kick off. Giovanni Torres struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER FC. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Linhares in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Marco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 minutes, Marco Seco made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walmyr Linhares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Secco to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Seco in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Seco in the 79th minute of play. If Marco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in INTER FC's zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Linhares came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Walmyr Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. INTER FC fully deserved thier win.
