Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl-Åke Sandström. Karl-Åke Sandström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Åke Sandström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Luz Tejedor. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 65th minute. Peru's Milagros Fraga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karl-Åke Sandström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Karl-Åke Sandström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Karl-Åke Sandström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseo Mina went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Greger Sandström in the 72 minute of the game. Ginlabbet Stockholm's Karl-Åke Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 75th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ginlabbet Stockholm defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Åke Sandström. The Ginlabbet Stockholm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Åke Sandström should have stopped the shot. Ginlabbet Stockholm's Karl-Åke Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 83rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
