Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Benito Pacorro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-2 in the 47 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alo Hurt was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alo Hurt, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. U21 Totoras F.C. were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernando Polo took the corner. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Epifanio Valery however easily saved by the left post. After 71 minutes U21 Totoras F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfréd Marton in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match U21 Totoras F.C. got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Polo ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 81st minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Valery having to interfere. Epifanio Valery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Tadeo Evarado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, U21 Totoras F.C.'s Epifanio Valery got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Pacorro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfréd Marton in the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th minute of the match U21 Totoras F.C. got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Polo ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U21 Totoras F.C..
