The wind increased when Mario Tonete made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Locomotora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Locomotora's Hilario Breogan got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as El Salvador's Moises Fernandino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hilario Breogan. That made the score 1-1 after 52 minutes of play.
