Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Segundo Katia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulryk Bejgier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubaldo Guzman in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Segundo Katia having to make a save. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Ubaldo Guzman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Guzman in the 28th minute of play. From a short distance, HURACAN's Ubaldo Guzman, in the 28th minute, tried to place the ball behind Julio Vera, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erasmo Cordarrol during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, HURACAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Cordarrol to maneuver through the defense. HURACAN's Segundo Katia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. Segundo Katia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Ubaldo Guzman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ubaldo Guzman made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulryk Bejgier in the 51st minute of play. After 52 minutes of play, HURACAN's Ulryk Bejgier made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 60 minutes, Ulryk Bejgier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HURACAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulryk Bejgier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Katia having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Segundo Katia having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Segundo Katia in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Katia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, HURACAN's Ulryk Bejgier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 85th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Katia having to interfere. The HURACAN players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
