Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Amboy FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 36th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mourelatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Ruperto Modestio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 98th minute of play. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Amboy FC to leave the ground with a draw.
